Early Biography of Gajendra Pal Singh Raghav:


Gajendra Pal Singh Raghav was born on 25 May 1963 in village Nagla Karan, Uttar Pradesh's Buland city district, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his basic education from Bulandshahr. And post graduation was completed from Meerut UP in 1984. After completing M Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, was completed from New Delhi.

Gajendra Pal Singh Raghav joined the Institute of Microbial Technology as a computer scientist, in 1966, he received his doctorate in bioinformatics from the Institute of Microbial Technology and Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Gajendra Pal Singh Raghav is an Indian bioinformatics and computational biology major at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology. Raghav joined the Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh as a computer scientist and developer in 1986. He is also the coordinator of the information center supported by DBT under the BTISNET program. Where their primary duty is to build and maintain the necessary infrastructure for protein modeling and engineering.

Gajendra Pal Singh Raghav worked as a postdoctoral fellow for two years 1996–98 at the European Bioinformatics Institute, Embi, along with the Oxford University. During this period he has learned many web servers for application in computational biology. He developed them, especially in protein modeling.


Radhava developed a method for calculating the concentration of antibodies and antigens from ELISA data. It is a futuristic method for protein secondary structure prediction. In 1999, he set up his research group at IMTE with emphasis on protein structure prediction and genome annotation.

 In 2001, his group also looked at computer aided vaccine design. In which the emphasis was on subunit vaccine design. Since 2006, his group has been trying to integrate bioinformatics chemistry formaco informatics clinical informatics to develop a single platform for design of drugs in siliques.

Follows public domain software or open source software. And its group both uses and develops free software for educational use. Recently his group has started a web portal computational resource for Drug Discovery CRDD under Open Source Drug Discovery.

Gajendra Pal Singh Raghav is a member of the editorial board of a number of scientific journals. Raghav has more than 100 Google Vindan profiles Unuser H Indexa 44 and i10 Indexa More.
