Almora - Where Nature Also Owns Almora is a popular hill station in the Kumaon region, situated on a 5 km long horseback hill between Suyal and Kosi river. Surrounded by lush green forests, the city is situated at an altitude of 1651 meters above sea level. The Chand dynasty and the Katyuri dynasty ruled here in the 15th and 16th centuries. From the hills of Almora, tourists can see the panoramic view of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
