 Piety and Spirituality Piety Religion is a comprehensive, permanent and perpetual element of human society, without which we cannot understand the social system in due time.  At present man has gained a lot of control over his environment with the help of science.   The result has been that many societies have wither become poor, or are not interested in religion and do not believe in or accept the validity of religious beliefs. Along with religion, the excuse of religious loyalty is attached.  Dhanishtha means having faith in any supernatural power.  A virtuous faith, a dharma, loyalty, a person, always, is virtuous and in his soul soul there is a predominance of religious sentiments.  A person motivated by devotion always follows religious acts and is filled with the spirit of righteousness.
