He did his BSc in Chemistry from the Madras University in 1955 and obtained his Master's degree M.Sc with first class in Chemistry from Rajasthan University Pilani in 1959.         In 1960, he moved to Joint Raiza USA to do research for his doctoral studies. And received a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from the Columbia University in 1965.         He continued as a Jain Coffin Children's Fund Fellow at the University of Minnesota Medical School until 1966 at the Convenor Rajaya USA for his post doctoral research.
