Most users use the Internet in their language. Most Indians are aware of at least two languages. It has been observed that they feel comfortable in getting information in their local language.

The aim is to reach the demand of customers with such local language. According to the report, local consumption is more in all categories in the country such as music, video and short and long format content. In order to understand the users more, the report has divided it into several categories such as functional users, casual users, students and others.

Gadgets, fashion-sports are most commonly seen in the English language

Apart from the report, most Indian users want to see content like food, entertainment and education in their local language. Video content, gadgets, fashion and sports are the most preferred technology in English language. 57 percent of respondents said they watch the video multiple times in a day. YouTube is the most used in online video content. It is followed by Hot Star and Jio TV.

Language option is very less in online shopping website

The report says that global companies such as Spotify, YouTube Music and others have seen considerable transition. Users like to listen to music the most in their local language. This is emotional content. On social media platforms, 40 percent of the users prefer memes, videos, images etc. in the local language. One-fourth of the users believe that the search which gets content from the local language is wrong. 43 percent of housewives believe that the language option in online shopping websites is quite low.
