Displacement-time graph of the various types of  motion of a body . 1. For a stationary body, the  displacement- time graph  is a straight line AB parallel to time axis. Displacement-time graph-1 In the above graph the slope of straight line AB (representing instantaneous velocity) is zero. When a body, is moving with a constant  velocity , then  displacement- time graph  will be a straight line OA, inclined t the time axis. Displacement-time graph Greater is the slope of straight line OA, higher will be the velocity. 3. When a body is moving with a constant  acceleration ,  displacement- time graph  is a curve with bend upwards.
