Sindhudurg fort is a historic fort located on an artillery in the Arabian Sea. This fort is located on the banks of the Malvan city of Sindhudurg district of Konkan region of Maharashtra, which is located 450 kilometers south of Mumbai. This fort was built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj of the Maratha empire. The main purpose of this fort was to fight the rising influence of foreign traders and to stop the rise of Zindagi Siddi. It was constructed under the supervision of Heroini Indulkar in 1664. The fort was built on a small island.
