Hidden corridor found in 4500-year-old pyramid of Giza.

Long corridors have been found in the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. This has been revealed through probing the north side of the pyramid. It is nine meters long and two meters wide. It is located above the main gate of Giza's pyramid. Archaeologist Jahi Hawass and Tourism Minister Ahmed Isa have given information regarding this discovery.

Giza pyramid officials say that information regarding its use has not been received yet. He said that such corridors give a boost to further archaeological finds. It has been discovered under the international project Skane Pyramid Project.

Giza pyramid officials told that other secrets of this pyramid may be revealed. The Scan Pyramid Project was started in 2015 to unravel the secrets of this Giza's pyramid, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Under this project, non-invasive technology like infrared thermography, 3D simulation and cosmic-ray imaging are being used to know the inner secrets of the Giza's pyramid.

The corridor was built 4,500 years ago

The Giza's pyramid, located about 11 miles from downtown Cairo, is also known as the Pyramid of Khufu after its builder. This structure is the last wonder of the ancient world. It was built about 4,500 years ago as a royal burial ground. It has been attracting tourists towards itself.

An article published Thursday(3/7/2023) in the journal Nature reported that scientists inserted 6 mm endoscopes into the Giza pyramid's stones to collect images and trace the corridor with cosmic-ray muon radiography. In 2017, the researchers of Scan Pyramid had informed that there is an empty space of at least 30 meters long inside this Giza pyramid.

The height of the pyramid changed over time

The Great Khufu Pyramid was built around 2560 BCE as a monument during the reign of the pharaoh Khufu or Cheops. At the time of its construction, Giza's pyramid height was 146 meters, although now its height has been reduced to 139 meters.
