Film Career:

Basu made his directorial debut in Bollywood with the film "Saaya" in 2003, starring John Abraham and Tara Sharma. However, he gained widespread acclaim and recognition for his film "Murder" (2004), a thriller that became a commercial success.

One of his most significant achievements came with the critically acclaimed film "Gangster" (2006), starring Emraan Hashmi, Shiney Ahuja, and Kangana Ranaut. The film received positive reviews and marked Basu as a director with a unique storytelling style.
