Early Life and Career:

Srikanth started playing badminton at the age of eight. He initially trained under coach Sudhakar Reddy and later joined the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad, where he received extensive training and mentorship. Under the guidance of renowned coach Pullela Gopichand, Srikanth honed his skills and rapidly rose through the ranks in Indian badminton.


Srikanth's Professional Career:

Srikanth made his mark in the international badminton scene in 2013 when he won his first Grand Prix Gold title at the Thailand Open. He continued his impressive performances and secured his first Super Series title at the 2014 China Open, defeating five-time World Champion Lin Dan in the final. This victory catapulted him into the top echelons of world badminton.

In 2015, Srikanth became the first Indian male player to reach the finals of the All England Open Badminton Championships in 30 years. He also won the 2015 India Super Series and the 2015 Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold. His consistent performances helped him achieve a career-high world ranking of World No. 1 in April 2018.

Srikanth has represented India in various international tournaments, including the Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and BWF World Championships. He has won multiple Super Series and Grand Prix Gold titles, solidifying his reputation as one of India's most successful badminton players.
