The fast of Pradosh is specially dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. On this day Shiva devotees keep a fast and worship Lord Shiva faithfully. The first Pradosh fast of Ashwin month is falling on October 04. Due to being on Monday, the day of Pradosh fasting, the coincidence of Soma Pradosh is being formed. Soma Pradosh fast holds a special place among all Pradosh fasts. Along with this, according to the Panchang calculation this time, monthly Shivratri will also be fasted and worshiped on this day. The combination of Shivaratri and Soma Pradosh together is very auspicious to please Lord Shiva and get his blessings. Let us know about some special measures to get the blessings of Lord Shiva on this day.

1-Worshiping Lord Shiva and Parvati during the Pradosh period, keeping the fast on the day of Soma Pradosh, fulfills all the wishes of the devotees.

2- Those people who have moon defect in their horoscope, they must keep fast of Soma Pradosh. Om Son Somay Namah in Shiva temple on this day. One should chant the mantra, one gets freedom from Chandra Dosha.

3- If there is a hindrance in marriage, then on the day of Soma Pradosh, milk mixed with saffron should be offered on Shivling, soon marriage coincidences will be made.

4- On the day of Soma Pradosh, Lord Shiva should be anointed by mixing jaggery in milk. Doing so creates opportunities for monetary gains.

5- If you have been suffering from any disease or illness for a long time, then on the day of Soma Pradosh, chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra 108 times with a rosary of Rudraksha. Soon the disease will start improving.

6- On the day of Soma Pradosh, offer it to Lord Shiva by writing the mantra Om Namah Shivaya from sandalwood on 21 bel leaves, all your troubles will be removed and all your wishes will be fulfilled.
