North East Indian Cuisine

North East Indian cuisine is heavily influenced by the Mongolian invasion, Burmese cuisine and the People's Republic of China. North East India is an amalgamation of seven beautiful states of the country. The seven north eastern states, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram exhibit relatively indigenous food culture. The inhabitants of North East India are mostly non-vegetarian. Most of the North Eastern people are hill tribes. Assam and Tripura are the states in the North Eastern region that have developed an interest in fish due to their proximity to West Bengal. Rice is included as a staple food in North East Indian cuisine. Rice is available in different varieties. Other complementary foods include lentils, fish curry, meat curry with herbs and vegetables. The curry is sometimes seasoned with ginger, garlic, cardamom, cinnamon, onion and lemon. Spices are used less in cooking in this region.

Assamese cuisine

Assamese cuisine in North East Indian cuisine is characterized by the process where fruits and vegetables are fresh, dried or fermented.

Tripura Cuisine

The traditional dish of Tripura is called 'Moi Buruk'. Like other north eastern states, Tripura has a mostly non-vegetarian population.

Nagaland Cuisine

The Nagas have extraordinary dishes made from bamboo shoots. The region's favorite curry is prepared from an alkaline salted extract of ripe banana roots along with some aquatic green plants. The cuisine of Nagaland is considered spicy because of his love for the most famous king, Mirch.

Meghalaya Cuisine

The people of Meghalaya have their own distinctive cooking pattern according to the availability of food items in Meghalaya. Furthermore, the cuisine of Meghalaya can be divided into three distinct styles: Garo, Khasi and Jaintia.

Arunachal Pradesh Cuisine

The cuisine of Arunachal Pradesh is different and has many varieties of rice and is heavily dependent on non-vegetarian dishes. Rice is the staple food of all the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. The ethnic cuisine of Arunachal Pradesh is easy to cook and delicious to eat with great nutrients.

Manipuri Cuisine

Manipur is famous for its delicious and delicious cuisine. The food of Manipur is considered very healthy. The food of the people of Manipur varies from community to community. Mizoram Cuisine The cuisine of Mizoram is quite attractive. Both vegetables and animal meats are used to make delicious dishes. Local herbs are also used to make Mizo cuisine.
