Early life of Ganesh Prasad Srivastav :

Ganesh Prasad Srivastav was born on 16 June 1933 in Varanasi, India. In 1957, he received a PhD Doctorate degree in the Comprehensive Study of Microwave under Professor Krishnaji of Allahabad University. He had a PhD doctorate degree in studies.


Ganesh Prasad Srivastav also worked with Professor Krishna and Dr. Prem Swarup. And studied microwave absorption in gases at moderate pressure, which was published in contemporary research publications and advanced texts with praiseworthy references.

Dr. Ganesh Prasad Srivastav is an Indian Professor of Physics. And was the author of many books. After a distinguished academic career of more than fifty years, he retired from Delhi University as Professor of Electronics. Where he taught microwave electronics for more than thirty five years.

G P Srivastav published 180 research publications in international journals in the fields of spectroscopy, semiconductor physics, magnetism. Vakantam Electronics and Microwave Superconductivity He set up a large microwave research group at the University of Delhi.

Ganesh Prasad Srivastav started studying electronics as an discipline separate from physics. And played an important role in starting Electronics courses in regular science academic programs all over India.

G P Srivastav was the first head of the Department of Electronics Science in the South University of Delhi University and the first Dean of the Inter-disciplinary and Non-Science Faculty in South Campus. He served as the Prop Vice Chancellor of Delhi University.

Ganesh Prasad Srivastav was the first person to observe rotational transitions in hydrogen bound molecules. His other works included work at Shefilda University UK.
