The US has made the final selection of astronauts going to the moon. Among them are Raja Chari, an American citizen of Indian origin. The 18-member squad to go in 2024 also includes women. The team was introduced by Vice President Mike Pence at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Raja Chari, who was selected in the Artemis Moon mission, came to Astronaut Corp in 2017. Since then, his training has been going on. He holds a bachelor's degree in Astronautical Engineering. His father Srinivas V Chari came to America from Hyderabad.

Some of his family members are still in India. Team Chief Astranaut Pet Forrester has said that our big dream of moving around on the lunar surface is nearing completion. It is a matter of pride for all the members involved in this mission. Be aware that Raja Chari will be the third Indian-origin citizen after Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams of Indian origin who will go to the moon.

The first woman and man to land on the moon in 2024


Vice President Mike Pence said that it is amazing to think that the next man and the first woman on the moon are among the names we read now. Astronauts are the future of American space exploration. Their future is bright. The astronaut team at Artisys come from a diverse range of backgrounds, expertise and experience. The agency's modern lunar exploration program will land the first woman and then man on the moon in 2024 and establish a permanent human lunar presence by the end of the decade. NASA said it would later announce flight assignments for astronauts, which would pull from the Artemis team.
