Early life - Works - Achievements of Rajmohini Devi

Early life of Rajmohini Devi:

Rajmohini Devi was an Indian social worker. Rajmohini Bapu was the founder of Dharma Sabha Adivasi Seva Mandal. Rajamomahini Devi was born in a small village called Grigori in Sarguna district of Chhattisgarh state in India. It is said that during the famine of 1951, he had a vision of Mahatma Gandhi and his ideals.

Works of Rajmohini Devi :

Rajmohini Devi has established a Mandal from the Bapu Dharma Sabha Tribal. In this non-governmental organization, he has worked for the welfare of Gandhian and tribal people of Gondwana of Indian State Chhattisgarh. He worked to start a movement for the emancipation of women, which is known as Rajmohini movement.

Through this movement, he has also worked on subjects like eradication of superstition and drinking habits among tribal people. This movement gradually assumed the status of a cult movement of over 80 000 people.

 And later it was changed to an NGO under the name of Bapu Dharam Sabha Adivasi Seva Mandal. The organization works in several states established in the states of Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

Achievements of Rajmohini Devi :

Awards and Honors to Rajmohini Devi:

1) Rajmohini Devi was awarded the Paghshree Award by the Government of India in 1989.
2) A research center in Rajmohani's honor is located at Rajmohini Devi College of Agriculture and Research Station, Indira Gandhi Agricultural University.
3) In Ambikapur, a government girls college Rajmohini Devi PG Girls College has been named after him.
