        Ganapati Yadav was born on September 14, 1952 in Arjunwada, Kolhapur district in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. Dadasaheb Krishnaji was with Rukmini couple He completed his primary education in the local school of his village up to class VII and later in elementary education up to class VII in the school and later in elementary education. He studied up to class XI in Kolhapur

        Yadav joined the University Department of Chemical Technology UDCT of Bombay University and graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1974. And started his career in the institution as a faculty member He continued his doctoral studies in 1980 under the supervision of renowned chemical engineer, Man Mohan Sharma to secure his PhD.

        Ganapati Yadav is an Indian chemical engineer, inventor and academic Who is known for his research on nanomaterials, chemical reaction and gas absorption with phase transfer catalysts. He is the Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai

        He is also working as RT Modi Distinguished Professor He has worked on substances such as sulfated zirconia heteropolic acid to develop allegedly better techniques in oil recovery, phase transfer and heterogeneous catalysis. He holds several Indian and American patents

        Yadav served as the President of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers IICHE in 2001. He served as the Director and Vice-Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology He led the Center for Nanoscience and Teletechnology and the Center for Green Technology of Mumbai University as the Chief Coordinator. He is the President of Catalys Society of Iowa and Maharashtra Academy of Sciences
