Google and Apple's COVID-19 tracing feature does not work | my experiences

Google and Apple's COVID-19 tracing feature does not work in India because of this

In April, two technology companies Apple and Google came together to battle the corona virus epidemic. Both companies had decided to change the API for COVID-19 contact tracing. Both these companies have rolled out this feature in India as well, but this feature is not much helpful for users in India. The reason behind this is that Google and Apple made changes to their APIs to help health agencies with contact tracing. The Health Ministry has already launched the Aarogya Setu app by the Ministry of Health which helps in contact tracing. The government has also made this app mandatory for smartphone users, so that contact tracing can be done.

COVID-19 tracing feature does not work because of this

Android users will see this COVID-19 contact tracing feature of Google in the Settings option. There, users can see it under the name of COVID-19 Exposure Notifications. This feature has been rolled out in India for iOS users as well. This feature does not work in India because the Aarogya Setu app has already been rolled out for contact tracing here. Kovid 19 exposure notification settings in India cannot be used at the moment because its supporting apps are not currently available in India.

The Aarogya Setu app launched by the central government helps in contact tracing using the smartphone's Bluetooth and location features. This contact tracing feature of Apple and Google provides a platform for apps through the Application Programming Interface. The Aarogya Setu app launched by the Indian government does not support Apple and Google's APIs. This feature from Apple and Google helps in contact tracing through Bluetooth identifiers.
