Early Life:

Steve Jobs was adopted shortly after his birth by Paul and Clara Jobs. He grew up in Mountain View, California, which was later to become the heart of Silicon Valley. Jobs showed an early interest in electronics and gadgetry.

Steve Jobs's Education:

Jobs attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon, but dropped out after one semester. However, he continued to audit classes, including calligraphy, which he later credited as a major influence on Apple's elegant design and typography.

In 1976, Jobs co-founded Apple Computer (now Apple Inc.) in his parents' garage along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Their first product, the Apple I, was a personal computer kit. Departure and Return of Steve Jobs:
