Early Life and Education:

Advani's political career began when he joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and later became a member of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the political arm of the RSS. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of India's Parliament, in 1970.

Advani Rise in BJP:

After the Bharatiya Jana Sangh merged with several other parties to form the Janata Party in 1977, Advani became the Information and Broadcasting Minister in the Janata Party government. The movement escalated tensions between different communities and had a profound impact on Indian politics.
