Govinda, born as Govind Arun Ahuja on December 21, 1963, is an acclaimed Indian film actor, comedian, and former politician. He is one of the most versatile and popular actors in the Bollywood film industry.

Early Life and Family:

Govinda was born into a family with deep ties to the Indian film industry. His father, Arun Kumar Ahuja, was a well-known actor, and his mother, Nirmala Devi, was a singer and actor. Govinda is related to several film personalities, including his uncle Anand Singh (producer) and cousin Amit Khanna (actor and producer).

Govinda's Early Career:

Govinda started his career as a lead actor in the film "Ilzaam" in 1986. However, it was his collaboration with director David Dhawan in the 1990s that catapulted him to stardom. The Govinda-David Dhawan duo became synonymous with comedy and entertainment. Their successful films include "Aankhen," "Raja Babu," "Coolie No. 1," and "Hero No. 1."
