Early life of Federico Fellini:
Federico Fellini, Cavalierre de Gran Kruse OMRI was an Italian film director and screenwriter. Known for his distinct style that blends fantasy and baroque images with Earth, he is considered one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time.
His films have been ranked as some of the greatest films of all time, at polls such as Crahars du Cinéma and Sight and Sound. Sight and Sound lists his 1963 film 8½ as the 10th greatest film of all time.
In a career of nearly fifty years, Fellini won the Palme d'Or for La Dolce Vita, was nominated for twelve Academy Awards, and won four in the Best Foreign Language Film category. At the 65th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles, he received an honorary award for Lifetime Achievement.
In addition to La Dolce Vita and 8½, his other famous films include La Strada, Nights of Cabiria, Juliet of the Spirits, Satyrican, Amarcord and Fellini's Casanova.
The son of a traveling salesman who sold food items and a mother who believed that, in marrying her down, she betrayed her relationship with Roman nobles, Fellini believed he was in Rome. He moved there with his mother and brother in the late 1930s.
However, only Federico sold cartoon magazines, gaggers, and stories to comic magazine Marc'Areurio. During World War II, Fellini wrote screenplays for the radio serial Cico e Pallina, starring Giulietta Masina, who became his wife in 1943 and who often appeared in many of their films during their 50-year marriage.
In 1944 Fellini met director Roberto Rossellini and became a team of writers for Roma, città aperta (1945; Open City or Rome, Open City), a leading film of neorealism. Fellini's contribution to the screenplay earned him his first Oscar nomination.
Fellini's screenplay, which was in high demand in Italy, led to directing work, and shortly after, Fellini directed I vitelloni (1953), which won the Silver Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival. He then won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film with La Strada (1954).
La Strada, now considered a classic, was the first in a trilogy of films in which Fellini explores how a wacky world welcomes innocence. The other two films in the trilogy were Il Bidon (1955) and Le Notti di Cabiria (1957), the latter of which Fellini was the landing of his second Oscar.
Award of Federico Fellini :
• Fellini received four Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film categories for La Strada, Nights of Cabiria, 8c and Amarcord and was nominated several times for Best Screen Play and Best Direction.
• She shone in film festivals for the I Vitelloni and the La Strada at the Venice Festival, La Pals d'Or in Venez and 8 d 'in Cannes, La Dolce Vita in Moscow and Berlin.
• He was created Grande Uffiche OMRI, Grain Cruse OMRI and finally Cavalierre de Gran Cruse OMRI, progressively the highest rank in the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic
