Arvind Kejriwal is an Indian politician and the current Chief Minister of Delhi, serving his third term in office as of my last update in September 2021. He is the founder and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), a political party in India. Here is a brief biography of his life up to that point:

Early Life and Education:

Arvind Kejriwal was born on August 16, 1968, in Siwani, Haryana, India. He completed his schooling from Campus School in Hisar and later pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. After completing his engineering, he joined the Tata Steel in Jamshedpur and later took leave to study at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, where he earned a degree in Management.

Arvind Kejriwal's Civil Service Career:

Kejriwal joined the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in 1995 after qualifying through the Civil Services Examination. He served in various capacities within the Income Tax Department. He took a sabbatical from his government job in 2000 to work with several NGOs and social activists to address various social issues.

Activism and Anti-Corruption Movement:

Kejriwal gained nationwide recognition for his role in the anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare in 2011. He was one of the prominent members of the movement, which sought the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill, an anti-corruption legislation. However, the movement gradually transitioned into a political one, leading to the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in November 2012.

Political Career and Chief Ministership:

AAP contested its first elections in Delhi in December 2013 and emerged as the second-largest party. In February 2015, AAP won a historic mandate in the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, securing 67 out of 70 seats. Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister of Delhi for the first time. His government focused on issues such as education, healthcare, and anti-corruption measures.

In the subsequent elections held in February 2020, AAP secured a sweeping victory, winning 62 out of 70 seats, and Kejriwal was re-elected as the Chief Minister of Delhi for the third consecutive term.

Personal Life of Arvind Kejriwal:

Kejriwal is married to Sunita Kejriwal, and they have two children, a daughter named Harshita and a son named Pulkit.
