Early Life and Education:

Sushma Swaraj was born in Ambala Cantt, Haryana, India. She studied law at Panjab University, Chandigarh, and later practiced as an advocate in the Supreme Court of India.

Sushma Swaraj's Political Career:

Sushma Swaraj's political journey began in the 1970s when she joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organization. She later became associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and held various leadership positions within the party.

Member of Parliament:

Swaraj was elected as a Member of Parliament multiple times. She served as an MP for the first time in 1977 and later in 1980, 1989, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2006, and 2014. She was elected to the Lok Sabha (the lower house of India's parliament) four times and to the Rajya Sabha (the upper house) three times.

Union Cabinet Minister:

Sushma Swaraj held several key positions in the Indian government. She served as the Minister of Information and Broadcasting under the government of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 2000 to 2003.
