Biography of Sarabjit Singh


Sarabjit Singh (1963 - 2 May 2013) was an Indian citizen whom Pakistan has given punishment and torture by accusing him of espionage and terrorism. He was in Kot Lakhpat Jail of Pakistan from 1990, where the inmates of the same jail attacked and killed them.

Sarabjit Singh was born in Bhikhvind village in Punjab, which is very close to the Indo-Pak border. He was a farmer from the profession. Apart from this, he also wished Pahlwani.

According to his friends and family members, Sarabjit Sarabjit, in the night of August 28, 1990, unknowingly crossed the international border bound for liquor and on the other hand, the Pakistani reporter, who was patrolling Pakistan's border on the other, arrested him.

After this he was accused of being an Indian spy and was put in a Pakistani jail. But the Pakistani police did not stop there, they blamed the blasts on both sides of the August 30, 1990 Lahore and Faisalabad blasts in Sarabjit. Later his name was changed by the Pakistani police. Who was Manjeet Singh By the same name Pak-Police filed a case file in the High Court.

Here in India Sarabjit's family and the villagers were very upset with his misery. Together they searched for Sarabjit for nine consecutive months. But what they get? His search was limited to India, he did not realize at all that Sarabjit was locked in a Pakistani jail.

In the meantime, one year later, Sarabjit's family received a letter from Sarabjit's family, which was sent by Sarabjit Singh, only after a year from Sarabjit. Then came the leaf that Sarabjit was in jail in jail.


The Beginning of a Painful Story


The painful story of Sarabjit Singh, a resident of Bhikhiwind village in Tarn Taran district of Punjab, starts from August 28, 1990. On the same day liquor baron Sarabjit Singh went to the border where he was arrested by the Pakistani army. Describing Sarabjit Singh as an agent of Raw, he was made accused of Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad bomb blasts. Later, in October 1991, he was sentenced to death. In front of Sarabjit Singh's side, along with his family, a human rights organization also came out and it came to know that in the case of Sarabjit, the Pakistan government has made many excerpts. The passport which was presented in the Pakistani court was written on the name of Khushi Mohammad but the picture was set by Sarabjit Singh. Similarly, in 2005, Pakistan released a video claiming that Sarabjit Singh had admitted his crime, but by 2005, Manjit Singh used to call Sarabjit Singh Pakistan. In 2005, the witness came in front of the media, who had identified Sarabjit, he clearly told the media that a statement against Sarabjit was brought under pressure on him. However, despite the falsifications, the date for the hanging of Sarabjit was fixed on April 1, 2008, though his hanging was postponed after the diplomatic efforts. In June 2012, it was reported in the Pakistani media that Sarabjit was being released but this news proved to be a rumor. In fact, the Pakistani government had ordered the release of Surjeet Singh.


Sarabjit Singh's arrest and trial

Sarabjit Singh was caught on the border of Pakistan Army on the Indo-Pak border on the border. But Sarabjit and his colleagues believed that Sarabjit Singh had gone to Pakistan border accidentally by the intoxication of alcohol. His colleagues told him a poor farmer. His sister said that after missing, he found Sarabjit for nearly 9 months but he could not find any information. 1 year later, he got a litter of Singh, in which he had written that he was arrested in Pakistan by the name of Manjeet Singh, and there is no certification for his identity, so that Lahore Police attacked the bomb in Pakistan. Blamed them. And for this, they were also given death sentences.

Some experts believe that they were arrested for unauthorized crossing the border. But after 8 days, in the Pakistani police, he was convicted of the bomb attack in 1990.

The Pakistani authorities believe that his name is Manjit Singh and he has killed 14 innocent people of Pakistan, and he says he was going back to India after the bombings, when the Pakistani army caught him. Later, troubled by the atrocities of the Pakistani Army, they confessed to the defects imposed on them. It was later reported that Manjit Singh was first caught in Canada and later India came to India.
