Dudhwa

Dudhwa is the synonym of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve located in the sub-Himalayan region of the Terai region of Uttar Pradesh. This park is located on the India-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri district. Dudhwa National Park is counted among the most endangered pragmatic system as the last remains of the lowland region.

 Dudhwa National Park

This National Park was established in 1958 as a wildlife sanctuary for the swamp deer. In January 1977, after many attempts of Arjan Singh, it became a notified park. Ten years later, in 1988, it was declared as a Tiger Reserve with the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary and the Katariaaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. This tiger sanctuary is divided into two parts: one Dudhwa National Park and the second Kisanpur Wildlife Sanctuary. Both of them are about 15 km Is located at a distance. River Mohana, flowing on the India-Nepal border, is situated on the northern boundary of the park, while Suheli River is situated on the southern border of the park. In this area, there are mostly alluvial plains, lakes, pools and many nallahs. Various flora and year and many other forests are also found in the park on the Indo-Gangetic land. 

Wildlife in Dudhwa National Park

Dudhwa National Park has a wide range of attractive wildlife. Some of these species are inhabited by animals such as leopard cat, fishing cat, rattle, civet, jackal or cior, hog deer and bayonet deer etc. Apart from these, there is also the house of the hippid rabbit, which is believed to have become extinct in 1951 and it was re-established in 1984, which is a matter of delight for conservationists. Apart from all these animals and animals, here along with the crocodile, Python i.e. Python and monitor lizard can also be seen, which keeps variance on the banks of the river. 

Seeing the birds in Dudhwa National Park

Dudhwa National Park is a treasure for bird lovers. This park houses 400 domestic and migratory birds species. Various varieties of birds and migratory birds in the swamps and lakes, located inside the park, attract visitors very much. Inside the park, you find the most fascinating Banas rhythm where you can see many species of gooseberries, cormorants, roves and ducks, besides, there are also species of rhythm and tealies found here. Varieties of storks like white-necked storks, penned storks and open build storks are found in this park, some of which live in water and some are on the ground. Come here and make a living here Remember to see colorful birds like woodpeckers, barbets, minivets, bulbul and kingfishers. 

Best time to visit Dudhwa

The best time to visit Dudhwa National Park is from November to March.
