Sukhdev was born into a Sikh family that was actively involved in social and political activities. Sukhdev's Involvement in the Freedom Movement:

Sukhdev joined the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), a revolutionary organization, and became a close associate of Bhagat Singh and Rajguru. The trio was involved in several protests and acts of civil disobedience against British rule.

Contributions and Sacrifice of Sukhdev:

One of the most notable incidents in which Sukhdev was involved was the protest against the Simon Commission in 1928. He, along with Lala Lajpat Rai and other leaders, protested against the Commission, leading to a violent police response. Lala Lajpat Rai succumbed to injuries sustained during the protest, leading Bhagat Singh and his associates, including Sukhdev, to seek revenge.

In 1931, Sukhdev, along with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, was involved in the assassination of James A. Saunders, a police officer, in retaliation for the death of Lala Lajpat Rai. The three were arrested and later tried in the Lahore conspiracy case. Despite widespread public protests and appeals for clemency, they were sentenced to death.

Execution and Legacy:

Sukhdev, along with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, was hanged on March 23, 1931, in Lahore Central Jail. Their sacrifice and courage turned them into iconic figures in the Indian independence movement, inspiring generations of Indians to fight against colonial oppression.
