Early Life and Education:

Rajendra Lahiri was born into a middle-class Bengali family. He was well-educated and deeply influenced by the freedom movement, which was gaining momentum during his formative years. His passion for independence led him to join revolutionary activities against the British colonial rule.

Involvement in the Kakori Conspiracy:

In 1925, Rajendra Lahiri became a prominent member of the Hindustan Republican Association (HRA), a revolutionary organization led by leaders like Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan, and Chandrasekhar Azad. On August 9, 1925, members of the HRA carried out the Kakori Conspiracy, a train robbery aimed at acquiring funds to support their revolutionary activities.

During the Kakori Conspiracy, a group of revolutionaries stopped a train at Kakori near Lucknow and looted the government treasury. Rajendra Lahiri was one of the key participants in this incident. The British authorities launched a massive manhunt to capture the culprits involved in the Kakori case.

Lahiri's Arrest, Trial, and Execution:

Rajendra Lahiri was arrested by the British police in connection with the Kakori Conspiracy. He faced a trial and was subsequently sentenced to death. On December 17, 1927, at the young age of 26, Lahiri was executed by hanging in the Gonda Jail.

Legacy:
