Naushad displayed an early interest in music and received his initial musical training under the guidance of classical music teachers. He later moved to Mumbai (then Bombay) to pursue a career in music.


Naushad Ali's Career in the Film Industry:

Naushad made his debut as a music director in the film industry with the movie "Prem Nagar" in 1940. However, it was his association with the film "Rattan" (1944) that brought him widespread recognition. His compositions, often rooted in Indian classical music, were known for their melody and emotional depth.

He collaborated with many renowned lyricists, including Shakeel Badayuni and Majrooh Sultanpuri, creating timeless melodies in films like "Andaz" (1949), "Baiju Bawra" (1952), "Mother India" (1957), and "Mughal-e-Azam" (1960). The songs from these films are celebrated even today for their musical brilliance.
