Biography of Chandrakant Devtale:
Chandrakant Devtale was an Indian poet, born on November 6, 1936, in the Gondwana region of India. He was a recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award and was referred to as one of the most political Hindi poets1. Devtale completed his higher education in Indore and received his doctorate from Sagar University. He mostly wrote poems in both Hindi and Marathi and has been referred to as one of the most political Hindi poets. His works include "हड्डियों में छिपा ज्वर" (‘The fever hidden in bones’), "भूखंड तप रहा है" (‘The Earth heats up’), "रोशनी के मैदान की तरफ़" (‘Towards the Flatland of Light’), "आग हर चीज़ में बताई गई थी" (‘Fire Was Said to Dwell in Everything’) and many more. Devtale passed away on August 14, 2017.

Literary introduction of Chandrakant Devtale
Hindi and Marathi are spoken in Betul, so their poetry was alive in the world. The part of central India that touches Maharashtra, the Marathi language has been spoken as the first or second language. Betul is also such a place. Like his beloved poet, Muktibod, Devtale used to behave like a language from Marathi to the language of the courtyard. It can be seen repeatedly in his poems. He lived in Indore and Indore was called Mumbai of Central India due to its pragmaticity. This pragmatism also narrates his poems. Devtale was a highly educated person.
