Role in the Khilafat Movement: Jauhar was a prominent leader of the Khilafat Movement, which aimed to support the Ottoman Caliphate and protest against the harsh treatment of Turkey by the Allied Powers after World War I. He worked closely with Mahatma Gandhi and other leaders during this movement, advocating for Hindu-Muslim unity.

3. Non-Cooperation Movement: Jauhar actively participated in the Non-Cooperation Movement launched by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920. He believed in non-violent resistance against British colonial rule and encouraged Indians to boycott British institutions.

4. Leadership in Indian National Congress: Jauhar served as the president of the Indian National Congress in 1923. He was the first person to preside over the Congress session twice, first in 1918 and then in 1923.
