Arjan Singh joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1938 at the age of 19. During World War II, he served in the Royal Indian Air Force and later, after India gained independence, in the Indian Air Force (IAF). He quickly rose through the ranks due to his exceptional skills and leadership abilities.

Arjan Singh's Role in Indo-Pakistani Wars:

Arjan Singh played a significant role in the Indo-Pakistani wars of 1947, 1965, and 1971. In the 1965 war, he led the IAF with distinction, making strategic decisions that contributed significantly to India's defense efforts. He was instrumental in expanding and modernizing the Indian Air Force.

Achievements and Recognition to Arjan Singh:

In 1966, Arjan Singh became the first officer of the Indian Air Force to be promoted to the rank of Air Chief Marshal. He was also the first and only officer of the IAF to be promoted to the five-star rank of Marshal of the Indian Air Force, the highest honorary rank in recognition of his exceptional service.
