Amarinder Singh attended Aitchison College in Lahore and later graduated from the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune. He served in the Indian Army and was commissioned into the Sikh Regiment. He saw active service during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

Political Career of Amarinder Singh:

Amarinder Singh entered politics and joined the Indian National Congress (INC). He was elected as a Member of Parliament in 1980 and served in various capacities within the party.
