Two famous fort of Palamu is about 20 km away from the Daltonganj city of Jharkhand in the direction of the southeast.

The old fort in the area of ​​the plain is made even before the Cheras dynasty and it was made by King Rakel. However, during that period, the reign of King Medini Rai, which ruled from Madininagar of Palamu for 13 years i.e. 1662 to 1674

The old fort was rebuilt from the point of view of security. Roy Chero was the King of the tribe. His empire went to the south, till Hazaribagh and Surguja. He attacked Daissa and defeated the King of Chhotanagpur.

Doisa is 53 km away from Ranchi. At the same time, the king had built a fort near Satbarwa on the basis of which he had looted. And today the fort is considered the most famous fort in that district.

In 1574, during the reign of Akbar, Palamu was attacked under the leadership of King Man Singh. But in 1605, his army was defeated in the battle of Palamu, Q. At that time, Akbar had died.

When Shah Jahan's rule was underway, then Ahmed Khan was the sub-parana of Patna and he was recovering from Paramount of Palamu, but the Cherro king refused to give it to him. Due to this Mughloh attacked Chero King three times.

On 3 April 1660, Rasht Khan started a campaign to attack, which he started with Patna, later he attacked in south of Gaya and in the last, he reached Palamu Fort on 9 December 1660.

Chero King had refused to pay the money of the Ferroti. But the races, Khan wanted all Hindus to accept Islam religion, he had started attacking the fort continuously.

But the people of Chero also tried to save the fort by fully aware but in the last race, Khan took possession of the fort and the Cherro had to run in the forest. Later, the Hindu people were fired there, the temples were destroyed and the power of the people of Islam was established.

After the death of Medini Rai, the people of her house of Charo dynasty became uncomfortable, due to which the Chara dynasty had begun to fall. After his death, he was the minister and adviser.

Chitridge Roy's nephew Gopal Rai threatened him and called on the Patna Council of British East India Company to attack the fort. When Captain Kamak attacked the new fort on January 28, 1771, the soldiers of the Cheras fought for the British, but the army of Chero was feeling the lack of water in the beach.

That's why they got back in the fight. Due to their weakness, the British got easily won and they had taken the new fort in their possession, while not doing much work. It proved to be quite good for the British instead of that fort.

It was an easy task to attack the British with the cannon due to that fort. Chiron had also attacked the British with full force with the help of his guns, but on 19 March 1771 Angrajo took possession of the old fort.

And finally, in 1772, the British had occupied the kilo. After some years passed, Chero and Khawar together had fought a battle against the British in 1882, but they also had to face defeat in that battle.

If the talk of conservation of the Jathak Fort, Rohtashgarh fort and Shergarh fort were in very good condition. The structure and size of the walls was fairly secure.

The width of the walls of the fort was also good enough. Jupiter was fought where the width of the road is about 8 feet. But the width of the rest of the fort is quite small.

All the gates in the fort are quite smoother in and out, and there is a pillar pillar on the four doors. A wall inside the fort also appears in which the door is made. That wall is made of stones.

Train access - Many trains are started from Ranchi, Patna, Hazaribagh and Netrhat to go to Daltaraj. Daltoroj is closest to Palamu.

Airplane access - Ranchi airport facility is available. The airport here is at a distance of 171 km from the city.
