Kondavidu fort

Kondavidu Fort comes in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Not only was the contribution of a king to build this fort, but many King Maharaj contributed to make this fort.

History of Kondavidu fort

Kondavidu Fort was constructed by Anapotha Reddy in 1250 and Kakatiya is a major contributor to making this fort bigger. But later this fort was captured by Proloya Vemrade, and in 1323, leaving Kadavidu as the capital, he renounced his fame.

After this the Kondavidu fort was one after another, the king of Vijayanagara, Gajapati, the Sultan of Golconda and the last of the French and British went to Hato.

There were various plans for the province and fortress of all those who ruled here. But all the Hindu rulers of Yehapur made plans for the benefit of this fort and the province here. But the Muslim emperors did not do anything for the development of the province here.

In 1323, a large portion of Warangal and Andhra Pradesh went under the control of Delhi's Tughlaq. Because of their plight, the people were troubled by the reason that Hindu Raja Musunuri Nayak had expelled Muslims from Warangal and in this campaign Reddy was also involved.

Reddy of Kondavidu used to be firstly valiant at Warangal king. Due to the inscriptions found here, one thing is understandable that he was contemporary of Korkunda Reddy and he changed his capital from Tagore to Kondavadhu.

Founder of this lineage was Prolaya Reddy and she was the son of Prilla. In present-day Vijayawada and Guntur, he ruled for nearly hundred years (1328-1428).

His first king, Prolaya Vaamma Reddy, who ruled till 1353, and built many forts in his time, which led to his state becoming very strong and strong. The fort which he built was also the fort of Kondavidu.

Later, he had removed Kandavidu from his place of capital Guntur. After this the Bahmani (1458), King of Vijayanagar (1516), Qutbshahi (15311537 and 1579), Mughal army of Aurangzeb, 1687, French (1752), Asafjahi King and the last British (1766 and 1788) ) Had ruled.
