It is believed that the king here belonged to the Haihaya family and he had eighteen boys. One of the boys of that king was Kalinga and the boy of that Kalinga was Kamla Raja. Kamla Raja ruled Tummana for many years. But Kamla Raja was defeated by Ratnaraaja 1.

But after Ratnaraaja, Prithdevi ruled. It is said that this fort was built by Raja Prithvi Dev. The Archeology Department of India sees the work of caring for this fort.

The famous Mahishasur Mardini Temple is also the same. The 12 Hathowali statue of Mahishasur Mardini has been established in the temple here. There is a Shankar cave at a distance of 3 km from this temple. This cave is like a tunnel, which is 25 ft. Due to the small size of this cave, it has to be crawled out of it.

Due to not being in the dark of the Chaiturgarh or Lafagarh Fort, in a way, we get to see it in many places in small places and in many places. The entrance gate of the fort is very beautifully constructed. There are many pillars and statues in it too.

Yehapar is a very big cloak that is built on a strong place. Five pillars were constructed to give support to this hideout.

There were five ponds around the hill which was in the side of the fort which spread around 5 sq km. Three of the five tankabos were filled with water throughout the year.

The fort is considered to be the three most important gateways known as Menaka, Humkara and Sinhdwar.

Many fortresses are given the same name. But the fort of Chaturagad has been given not one but two names. And this is the specialty of this fort. This fort is also known as Chatrapargad along with Lafagad Fort.

And the biggest and most intriguing thing is that after having this fort soaked up, there is no one but five ponds in the top area and most of them are filled with water throughout the year.
