Early life Of Mohan Singh Oberoi:


        Mohan Singh Oberoi was born in Jhelum district, a normal family-born Mohan Singh was only six months old when his father's body was lifted from his head. In such a condition, the responsibility of running a house and raising children was on his mother's shoulders. It was not easy for a woman to take such a big responsibility in those days. Mohan Singh went to Rawalpindi after completing his schooling somehow in the village. Here he enrolled in a government college. After completing college studies, he went in search of a job, but he did not get a job even after wandering.

        Mohan Singh, who wandered in search of job, advised his friend to learn typing and stenography. He started learning typing at a typing institute in Amritsar, but soon realized that he did not get a job from this too. These days, they only thought that they could get a job, so that they could reduce the burden of their mother's shoulders.

         But due to lack of job, they started feeling helpless. He had to spend a lot of money in lieu of living in a city like Amritsar. When his money came to an end, he returned to his village in 1920. On his return to the village, he got married to a family of Kolkata.

Trident Hotels has been ranked the 'Best First Class Hotel Brand' for four consecutive years since 2004 in the Galileo Express Travel World Awards. Mumbai's Oberoi Hotel was named 'Best Business Hotel in India' by the CNBC Voice Travel Awards in 2008.
