Early Life:
Dorabji Tata, full name Dinshaw Wacha, was born on August 27, 1859, in Navsari, Gujarat, India. He was the eldest son of Hirabai and Jamsetji Tata, the founder of the Tata Group. After the untimely death of his father in 1904, Dorabji Tata assumed the responsibility of leading the Tata business empire.

Education:
Dorabji Tata received his education at the Elphinstone College in Bombay (now Mumbai). He later pursued further studies in England.
Career and Contributions of Dorabji Tata:
Upon his return to India, Dorabji Tata took charge of the Tata Group, expanding and diversifying the family business. Under his leadership, the Tata Group ventured into various industries, including steel, textiles, hydroelectricity, and consumer goods. One of his notable contributions was the establishment of Tata Steel (formerly known as TISCO) in Jamshedpur in 1907.
