Athletics management in India

Athletics is actually an amalgamation of several track and field events. The sport of athletics started its journey in India during the Vedic period and has been popular in the country since then. It is very old in India. Amateur Athletic Federation of India (AAFI) came into existence in the year 1946 and started working for the management of Indian athletics. After that a large number of other athletic associations started their journey and helped AAFI in the management of Indian athletics. Apart from the Amateur Athletic Federation of India (AAFI), the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) is another national body working for the management of Indian athletics. AFI is the governing body for athletics in India and it is working in collaboration with other athletics associations for the betterment of Indian athletics. Since athletics is one of the oldest sports in India. There are also many athletics clubs and academies which are working for better management of Indian athletics. The Athletics Federation of India mainly organizes athletic meets and events to give Indian athletes a chance to improve their performance. The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) is in charge of organizing the national level athletics meet in India. The main objective of the State Athletics Associations is to bring forth new talent in various track and field events in India. The Athletics Federation of India has been working tirelessly for the management of Indian athletics since its inception. They are also playing an important role in bringing out new talent.
