Mahmud Ghaznavi invaded India
The first major attack by the Turks came when Mahmud Ghaznavi of Ghazni kingdom called a Turk king attacked India. He did not want to rule in India. His eyes were on expanding his kingdom Ghazni by defeating other Ottoman kings in the region of Iran, Afghanistan and Khorasan.
