Gangadharrao Sandalirao Madala was born on 21 May 1933 in India. He did his BA in Mathematics from Andhra University and did MA in Statistics from Bombay University in 1957. He came to USA as a Fulbright Scholar in the Economics Department of the University of Chicago.

Gangadharrao Sandalirao Madala received his PhD in 1963. He has a research management under the supervision of CV Greilich in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. The GS Maddala Memorial Fund at Ohio State University was created in 2004 by his wife Kay and colleague Yau and students.

Gangadharrao S Madala was an Indian American economist, mathematician and teacher. Who is known for his contribution in the field of econometrics and the lessons written by him in this field. Madala's first faculty position was at Stanford University. He held the prestigious position of University University on his death at Ohio State University.

 In previous university affiliations, Stanford University worked in 1963–1967. And Rochester University 1967–1975 and Florida University 1975–1993. Madala has more than 110 scholars, including most of the emerging fields of economics.

His book titled Limited Dependent and Qualitative Variablea in Economitrixa in 1983 is now known as a classic and seminal tact for the advanced study in Econometrics.

The econometric method includes Lang's normalized least squares, panel data, simultaneous equation variables, inaccuracies, income distribution switching eases, decipheribrium models, multiplications, and simulated variable models, in the principal areas of research and performance.

Madala cites consumption production and cost functions, demand regulation, efficient data, return to college education, survey on housing discrimination expectations, and contributed to the areas of risk premium in future markets.
