Bodh Gaya, Bihar:Significance: Bodh Gaya is the most sacred place in Buddhism as it is believed to be the site where Siddhartha Gautama (Lord Buddha) attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree. Main Attraction: Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Animesh Lochan Chaitya, Great Buddha Statue, Bodhi Sarovar (Pond of Enlightenment). 2. Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh:Significance: Sarnath is the place where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his five disciples after attaining enlightenment. It is considered a significant site in the history of Buddhism. Main Attractions: Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Ashoka Pillar, Sarnath Museum. 3.
