What is Skill India?

Skill India is an initiative launched by the Government of India with the aim of enhancing the skills of the Indian workforce and making them more employable. 1. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY):

2. National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC):

3. Skill Development Initiatives for Specific Sectors:

4. Rural Skill Development Programs:

6. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL):

 RPL is a component of Skill India that recognizes and certifies the skills acquired by individuals through informal means. This allows individuals with prior work experience to get formal recognition for their skills.

7. Entrepreneurship Development: 

Skill India also focuses on promoting entrepreneurship by providing training and support to individuals interested in starting their own businesses. This includes initiatives such as the Stand-Up India scheme.

8. International Collaboration: 

Skill India promotes international collaboration for skill development, including partnerships with foreign governments, institutions, and industries to exchange best practices and enhance the global employability of the Indian workforce.
