Ahilyabai Holkar Rise to Power:

After the death of her husband, Khanderao Holkar, Ahilyabai's father-in-law, Malhar Rao Holkar, ascended to the throne. After Malhar Rao's death, Ahilyabai's son, Malerao Holkar, became the king, but he also died young. This led to Ahilyabai taking charge of the kingdom and becoming the ruler in 1767.
