He has directed, written, and produced several films, such as Don, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag 1. He has also acted in several films, including Rock On!!, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and Dil Dhadakne Do. Farhan Akhtar has won several awards, including two National Film Awards and six Filmfare Awards.

He was married to Adhuna Bhabani from 2000 to 2017, and they have two children together. In 2022, he married Shibani Dandekar.
