Early Biography of Prabal Chaudhary:

        Prabal Chaudhary is an Indian statist. He is a professor of theoretical statistics and mathematics at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Prabal Chaudhary was born in India in 1963. He graduated in Statistics Honors from Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta in 1983.

        In 1985, he received the degree of Master of Statistics from the same institute. Prabal earned the number of MPAHD from California University, Berkeley in 1988 under the guidance of Charles Joel Stone.

Works of Prabal Chaudhary :

        Prabal has worked as Assistant Professor in the Statistics Department, University of Wisconsin, Madison, from August 1988 to December 1990. Prabal has worked as a lecturer in the department of theoretical statistics and mathematics at the Indian Statistical Institute from 1990 to May 1993. After that he became Associate of this department in 1997 and he has worked as a full professor.

        Prabal has invented some widely used techniques and concepts. As for local polynomial nonconventional matronomic regression, a geometric notion of quantiles for multivariate data, the axiom transformation and reorientation techniques are used in it.

1) Prabal received BM Birla Science Award in 2001.
2) In 2005, Prabal received CR Rao National Award.
3) Prabal is also a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences Allahabad.
4) In 2005, he was awarded the Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award by the Government of India.
5) In the year 2010, the International Congress of Hyderabad has an invited chapter on probability and statistics.
