Why do the edges of an image formed by a normal convex lens appear colored with the help of white light?
White light is a mixture of light of different colors. These colors diverge due to character deflection when they pass through the lens and all colors make their own different reflections, so due to chromatic aberration, the central part of the image remains white but the edges appear colored.

स्वेत प्रकाश की सहायता से किसी सामान्य उत्तल लेंस द्वारा बने प्रतिबिंब के किनारे रंगीन क्यों दिखाई देते हैं?
स्वेत प्रकाश विभिन्न रंगों के प्रकाश का मिश्रण है। यह रंग लेन्स से गुजरने पर वर्ण विक्षेपण के कारण अलग अलग हो जाते हैं तथा सभी रंग अपना अलग-अलग प्रतिबिंब बनाते हैं अतः वर्ण विपथन के कारण प्रतिबिंब का मध्य भाग तो स्वेत ही रहता है परंतु किनारे रंगीन दिखाई देते हैं।
