Nadda's political journey began during his student days when he became associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He held various positions within the ABVP, showcasing his leadership skills.
In the early 1990s, he entered mainstream politics and joined the BJP. He served as the President of the BJP's youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), from 1991 to 1993.
