Early Biography of Raghavan Varadarajan:

        Raghavan Varadarajan is an Indian biophysicist and professor at the Indian Institute of Science. They are known for protein structure and protein folding. Raghavan Varadarajan was born in India on 27 November 1960. He received his undergraduate and postgraduate masters degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 1982.

        He received his doctorate from Stanford University. He received his PhD under the guidance of Steven G. Boxar. After that, he completed his studies at the Sports University Doctorate in 1988 to 1992.

Works of Raghavan Varadarajan :

        Raghavan started his career in 1992, working as a professor in the Molecular Biophysics Unit at the Indian Institute of Science, IASC. He is the principal of Varadarajan Laboratory of IISc. Which has a research interest in the design of HIV and influenza immunogens.

        He is working as an Honorary Professor in Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research. Not only this, but he also serves as the chairman of the Bangalore-based research platform Scientific Board of Thermite Novobologics. Raghavan has worked on a hemoprotein in the laboratory of G. Boxar. He has also studied the redox potential spectral properties of the outer chromophores. He has developed crystallographic and atomic magnetic sampling hydrogen regulation protocols.

        Raghavan and his team have developed immunogens at Merck Research Laboratories. The district has been shown to show positive effects as an HIV vaccine. He has also worked jointly by the Department of Biotechnology as an investigator of the DBT-IAVI program.

1) BM Birla Science Center BM Virala Science Award in 1998.
2) In the year 2002, Radhavan received the Bhatnagar award in peace form from the Government of India.
3) In 2013, CSIR awarded him the GN Ramachandran Gold Medal for excellence in Biological Sciences and Technology.
4) Raghavan has also received the Swarnajayanti Fellowship for Biological Sciences of the Department of Science and Technology.
5) In 1999, he received the Aedes Innovation Greet Award for the National Institute of Health.
