Home Made Mouthwash:

Creating a homemade mouthwash can be a simple and cost-effective way to maintain oral hygiene.

Here's a basic recipe for a homemade mouthwash using natural ingredients:

Homemade Natural Mouthwash:

Ingredients:
1. 1 cup of distilled or boiled water (cooled to room temperature)
2. 1 teaspoon of baking soda
3. 10-15 drops of tea tree oil or peppermint oil (for flavor and antibacterial properties)
4. 1 teaspoon of xylitol or stevia (optional, for sweetness)

Ingredients - Instructions - Add Baking Soda - Essential Oil - Store in a Container to make Homemade Natural Mouthwash

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Water:
Boil water and allow it to cool to room temperature. Alternatively, use distilled water.

2. Add Baking Soda:
Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to the water. Baking soda can help neutralize acids in the mouth and has mild antibacterial properties.

3. Essential Oil:
Add 10-15 drops of tea tree oil or peppermint oil to the mixture. These oils contribute to a refreshing flavor and have antibacterial properties that can help fight bacteria in the mouth.

4. Sweetener (Optional):
If you prefer a slightly sweet taste, you can add 1 teaspoon of xylitol or stevia. These sweeteners are optional and can be adjusted based on personal preference.

5. Mix Thoroughly:
Stir the mixture well to ensure that all ingredients are evenly distributed.

6. Store in a Container:
Transfer the homemade mouthwash to a clean and airtight container for storage.

7. Usage:
Use the homemade mouthwash by swishing a small amount in your mouth for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then spit it out. Avoid swallowing the mouthwash.

Notes:
This homemade mouthwash is intended for daily use as part of your oral hygiene routine.
Tea tree oil and peppermint oil are chosen for their antibacterial properties, but you can adjust the essential oil based on your preference.
Xylitol and stevia are optional sweeteners. If you prefer a less sweet mouthwash, you can omit them.

While homemade mouthwash can be a supplement to regular oral care, it's essential to maintain a good dental hygiene routine, including brushing your teeth, flossing, and regular dental check-ups. If you have specific oral health concerns, it's advisable to consult with a dentist for personalized advice.
