Early Life and Education:

R. Venkataraman was born in Rajamadam village in Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his education in law from the Law College in Madras (now Chennai). His interest in politics and public service led him to become actively involved in the Indian freedom movement.

Freedom Struggle and Legal Career of Ramaswamy Venkataraman:

During the freedom struggle, Venkataraman participated in the Quit India Movement in 1942. Venkateshwar reached here with their bones from Delhi. Education Minister Madan Kaushik, District Collector of Haridwar, Shailesh Bagoli and SSP Sanjay Gunjial were also present on the special ferry. Pandit Sundar Raghav Sharma, who came from Delhi with the members of the former President's family, worshiped on the pier and later bone was flown in the river. Earlier, the top officers of Army's Sixth Artillery Brigade offered floral wreaths on the osmosis of Venkataraman in the Rayawala area on the outskirts of the holy city.

After his term as President ended in 1992, Venkataraman retired from active politics. He continued to be involved in various social and cultural activities, focusing on education and public service.
